We at Joolwe.com love to hear from our customers, guests that are browsing our sites and fellow bloggers. We want to know your thoughts and feelings about anything and everything that has to do with jewelry. A few bloggers were kind enough to answer some of our questions about jewelry and their personal style and we would like to share the interviews with the Joolwe community.
Our first blogger and fashionista hails from Florida. Zipporah Sandler is the founder of champagneliving.net, a website that is dedicated to teaching its readers how to enjoy “the finer things in life” while on a fixed income. Zipporah says her site “is the one place on the web that brings all of the information to help you live a FABULOUS lifestyle for less.” Alright, so now you have some background information about our first blogger. Now, let’s hear her take on our questions about the decadent world of jewelry.
What is your attitude toward jewelry?
Funny that you ask, because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE good jewelry and who deserves it more than YOU & I? I don’t go overboard, I like a simple tailored look - as long as it’s tailored with plenty of gold and karats!
Oh, there’s a recession going on? Well, just remember that a GOOD piece of jewelry NEVER goes out of style, so compared to those culottes you bought back in the 70’s, you’d still be wearing those diamond post earrings LONG after those culottes were donated to Goodwill.
What are your jewelry style secrets/philosophies?
All kidding aside, I like classic pieces. I’m not a trendy girl and I wear my baubles every day - whether I’m running around in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt (nothing looks nicer than pearls against a black t-shirt) or dressing to the nines for a night out. You won’t find my jewels tucked away in a box in the sock drawer - they’ll be around my neck, dangling from my ears or on my fingers.
What were some of your favorite pieces of jewelry from our website Joolwe.com?
The 18kt gold over silver diamond huggie earrings are calling my name….ZIPPY. They look like something that I could wear with ANYTHING - JPE-000037.
What piece of jewelry do you think everywoman should own and why?
Something that really reflects her style and says something about her. I can’t make that judgement. A Boca Babe would like something a lot different than a New Englander (although both of them would look GREAT in a simple diamond stud earring).
What piece of jewelry can you not live without?
I have a pair of simple gold hoops that are the FIRST thing I put on when I’m getting dressed in the morning.
Who is your style icon and why?
I’m a Ralph Lauren girl, having spent most of my life either near or on the water in New England. His style is practical and stylish. Now that I live in Florida, I have a difficult time adjusting to the Lily Pulitzer look and always pull out my tried and true Lauren outfits.
What is the biggest mistake you’ve seen people make wearing jewelry?
TOO MUCH!!! Wearing too many pieces is just awful.

Hot Accessories for Spring 2009
The Gem Color of Spring is…. Yellow, mimosa yellow to be exact. Spring time is just around the corner and the sharp lines and dark colors of winter are taking a back seat to soft, flowing silhouettes and bright colors. Take a cue from the change of tone in fashion and lighten up your jewelry gem color scheme as well.
